Looking for recipes and gift ideas to celebrate Valentine’s Day? Whether you are having your girlfriends over or spending a romantic date with that special someone, it is a great opportunity to enjoy your loved ones and show them you care! Today, TV host and chef Rachel Hollis from The Chic Site shares some of her favorite ways to enjoy the day of love!
Valentine’s With the Girls
Think fun cocktails and tasty appetizers, festive party favors, and dessert to die for. Imagine you and all your girls dancing to Beyoncé while sipping margaritas and finishing the night with a movie (The Notebook if you’re feeling lovey and Fatal Attraction if you’re not). Embrace the cheeky, embrace the fun, and enjoy a night with the women you love most!
What to Sip … Strawberry Jalapeño Margaritas
What to Dip … Enchilada Dip
What’s for Dinner … Taco Pizza
What’s for Dessert … Cheesecake in Jar
What to Gift… Boozy Necklace
Valentine’s With Your Love
My husband and I have spent the last 12 Valentine’s Days the same way. I make him a fabulous dinner where the focus is solely on making it delicious and not at all on how many calories are involved. Some years I’ve set a gorgeous table, other years (specifically the one spent with a newborn comes to mind) we ate in our pajamas! But regardless of our attire or what the house looked like, I have a ton of beautiful memories of laughing, drinking wine, and feeling so darn grateful for our love.
What to Sip … Champagne Cocktail
What to Dip … Cheesy Garlic Bread
(Make sure you both snack so you don’t have to worry about smelly breath afterwards!)
What’s for Dinner … Caprese Pasta
What’s for Dessert … Better Than Sex Cake
What to Gift … A Year of Dates
This holiday is about love, whatever form it takes! So don’t miss out on celebrating the day, whether it’s drinks with your favorite gals, pampering yourself at a spa, or with your significant other. Embrace the people you love in your life and celebrate with them however makes you happy!
