The ornaments are packed away, the gifts are all unwrapped and put to good use, the sparklers have stopped twinkling, and the champagne flutes are no longer clinking. Ladies, the holiday season is officially behind us. But just as we enter this high winter moment full of snow flurries, bone-chilling temps, cozy moments by the fire, and all the rest, there’s still one more holiday we simply can’t wait to celebrate. You guessed it…Valentine’s Day! From getting all dressed up for a special dinner reservation to grand romantic gestures that sweep us off our feet, there’s nothing we love more than celebrating this holiday with that special someone.

Yet, every year, we can’t help but wonder if there isn’t a way for us to extend this loving feeling beyond just romance and spread the love to a circle of girlfriends with whom we share such a special bond. Indeed, a huge part of being a cabi girl is embracing the spirit of women supporting, encouraging, inspiring, and helping other women, and we’d never turn down an opportunity to do it again! This year, we were inspired by Leslie Knope from Parks and Recreation, one of our all-time favorite shows. We’re talking about Galentine’s Day of course—a holiday that has since taken on a life of its own.

Chances are you’ve already come across this holiday—maybe you’ve even celebrated it in years past. But in case you haven’t, here’s what you need to know—Galentine’s Day takes place on February 13^th, and it’s a chance for women to come together and celebrate each other in a stress-free, fun environment. It’s a chance to channel all of those good vibes you get from a perfect Valentine’s Day and share it with the women in your life you care about most. Surely, we’d never send you off to host a new holiday without first having tried it ourselves, so we did a little test run to make sure it’s as fabulous as it sounds (spoiler alert: it absolutely is!).

We got a few of our favorite ladies together from the cabi Home Office and did what we do best: styled each other! We dressed up in our #cabicutest—pink and red pieces from the Spring 2019 Collection that pop against angelic white neutrals, like the Valentine Jacket paired back to the must-have Petal Skirt or the Slim Boyfriend jean (no boyfriend required!) coupled up with the Picnic Cardigan (perfect match!). Then we headed to our favorite neighborhood bakery, Sweet & Saucy, to indulge our sweet tooths with themed treats like heart-shaped rice krispie treats and macarons sealed with a kiss. We had so much fun celebrating our #cabisquad that we can now confidently say Galentine’s Day is one holiday we’ll surely celebrate for years to come.
