Shauna Robertson is a full-time influencer. Her blog Chic Over 50 is dedicated to encouraging women over the age of 50 to revel in their beauty for a more confident, fashion-forward lifestyle. She admits to starting her blog on a whim, without putting much thought into it. It was a space for her to share ideas with friends and family—as someone who cultivates a fashionable lifestyle, she was used to answering countless questions for the women in her life. What skincare products do you use? What should I be wearing at my age? How do you stay fit? It was easier to put her answers out there for whoever wanted to read them. The moment she realized she can inspire and empower other women through this platform, she was hooked. And that’s how Chic Over 50 was born. Before she knew it, she gained a following—it’s turned into her full-time career, and she takes her work very seriously.
Shauna is based in Salt Lake City, Utah and has three sons. She’s also a grandmother to seven grandchildren, but you’d never know it. She’s unafraid to express her style through bold colors, funky patterns, and innovative prints. When it comes to print mixing, she says, “The more, the better!” Shauna lives life colorfully…just take a look at her bubblegum pink hair! (We’re obsessed with her matching pink lipstick, too.) She says if she feels good in it, then she’ll wear it. It’s that simple. No matter what you’re wearing, if you feel confident, you’re going to rock it. Fashion is all about freedom of expression and being unapologetically yourself, no matter your age. It’s because of her mission that we invited Shauna to be a part of our Fall 2019 Uniquely UsCampaign. The message she’s devoted to spreading couldn’t be more aligned with our efforts to represent all women and to celebrate our differences.
