Purple clothing has long been associated with royalty, originally because the dye was very expensive to purchase and hard to come by. Thankfully now, this hue has worked its way into everyday fashion trends for all of us to benefit from, allowing us to live like queens without the hefty price tag. Not only is this color beautiful for its rich history, but it has also come to be an incredibly feminine and cosmetic color, offering a shade that works with every skin type, from soft lavenders to deep violets, and everything in between.
To help us envision how these various shades of purple can be incorporated into your spring wardrobe, we’re partnering with lifestyle and fashion blogger Katie Morley. Head to her Instagram account @katiemorleystyle to see just how colorful and playful her sense of style is. That’s why we knew she was the right gal for the job. She’s created three outfits showcasing a few of the purple pieces in the Spring 2021 Collection. Be sure to also take note of how she’s accessorizing! Keep reading to learn more about the details behind each of her outfits. When wearing these pieces, you’ll get nothing but the royal treatment!
Featured Products: Imperial Blazer, Cutout Top, High-Low Crop
The Imperial Blazer in Sugar Plum Geo mixes a trendy pattern and classic structured design. I love the asymmetrical front closure and fitted shape. This blazer will elevate any spring look. I styled the Imperial Blazer with the Cutout Top in Aster. It’s a sleeveless top with a keyhole tie at the back. The scallop cutouts at the neckline really elevate the style. To finish the look I paired these pieces with the High-Low Crop in Bright White. I can’t get enough of these jeans! The raw hem is so trendy and the slight flare fits so well on so many different body types.
I love the Imperial Blazer so much that I also styled it with a basic white midi dress and woven belt. There’s so many ways to style this blazer. The geo print and colors are perfect for the office, date night, or drinks with the girls!
Featured Products: Priscilla Top
I styled the Priscilla Top in Baby Floral with a white denim jacket, a pair of bell bottom jeans, and wedges. I love the button-down design and the fabric is light and breezy. It’s the perfect fabric for spring and summer. This top would also look really cute with the Lighthouse Jacket or the Sunday Cardigan.
Featured Products: Sunday Cardigan, Violet Top, Island Tank, Island Skirt
The Sunday Cardigan in French Violet is such a unique take on a basic cardigan. The bell sleeves and deep V-neckline are fun and flirty. It’s a sweater knit to keep you warm on those cool spring nights. I paired the Sunday Cardigan with the Violet Top in Floating Flowers and a pair of light-wash skinny jeans. This look is work appropriate and the Violet Top can easily be worn on its own. The delicate flutter sleeves make it a romantic piece.
The Island Skirt and Island Tank in Pressed Flowers has become my go-to travel outfit. The double-layered mesh is a wrinkle-free fabric making it super easy to travel with. The skirt is so comfortable with its elastic waistband and draped design. Both pieces can be styled separately too. The Island Tank would look great with a pair of skinny jeans or distressed mom jeans The Island Skirt would look cute with a graphic tee and denim jacket for a more casual look.
